Angel Maldenado, a 17-year-old male from Chicago, Illinois, tragically lost his life on September 12, 2018. He was affectionately known by his friends as "Shorty" and "Sosa," a nod to the South Side Chicago rapper Chief Keef. Angel was riding his bike through the Back of the Yards neighborhood when he was shot and killed. His death left a profound impact on his community, as he was known for his kindness and willingness to help neighbors, often stopping to assist them with their groceries.
