Jeremiah Nieves, a 22-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically shot and killed on September 23, 2020, in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 10:36 a.m. while Nieves was walking with his 39-year-old aunt on North Maplewood Avenue. An 18-year-old male, Alexander Santander, approached them, briefly spoke, and then opened fire, hitting Nieves three times in the chest.
