On August 9, 2017, Jonathan Dwayne Brown, a 25-year-old resident of Chicago, Illinois, lost his life in a tragic act of gun violence. He was killed in a drive-by shooting in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood, a predominantly residential area on the city’s southwest side. Reports indicated that Brown was one of two victims targeted in this incident. The shooting left one person critically wounded, while Brown succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
