Jose Castaneda Jr., a 20-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically shot and killed on February 1, 2019, in Palatine, Illinois. The incident occurred in the 1500 block of Norway Lane as Jose was walking with a friend. The shooting was gang-related, and it was reported that Jose was shot in the back while walking near the Silver Lakes Apartment Complex.
