Jacob Keltner, a 35-year-old white male, was a dedicated deputy with the McHenry County Sheriff's Department and a member of the U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. On March 7, 2019, Keltner was fatally shot while attempting to serve an arrest warrant at a hotel in Rockford, Illinois.
