Zakaria Hadik, a 20-year-old male, was fatally shot on March 8, 2019, in the Irving Park neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred around 3:05 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Cullom Avenue. According to the Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Hadik was found on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound to his left eye. He was immediately taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries approximately half an hour later.
Hadik resided in the Budlong Woods neighborhood.
Initially, the police reported that someone had been arrested in connection with the shooting. However, later that same day, they clarified that no one was in custody. The Area North Detectives are conducting a homicide investigation into the case.
