Jonathan Jones, a 29-year-old African American male, was found shot to death in Washington Park on the South Side of Chicago on June 5, 2019. Officers discovered his body at 12:36 a.m. in an alley in the 5800 block of South Wabash Avenue. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, including a fatal wound to the head. The Cook County medical examiner's office ruled his death a homicide. Jones, who resided in West Pullman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
