Kevon Mitchell, a 20-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on November 8, 2020, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side of Chicago. Kevon was in a vehicle in the 7200 block of South Kedzie Avenue when someone in a dark-colored sedan fired shots at him. He was struck in the body and succumbed to his injuries about an hour later at a local hospital. The Cook County medical examiner's office ruled his death a homicide.
