Markeese A. Fair, a 23-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 6, 2019, in East St. Louis, Illinois. The incident occurred near the intersection of Touchette Avenue and N. 24th Street. Markeese was shot and subsequently pronounced dead at Touchette Regional Hospital. The Illinois State Police conducted an investigation into the shooting, which led to significant developments in the case.
