Darnell C. Steward, a 32-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 16, 2019, in East Saint Louis, Illinois. According to reports, the incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. outside Haymore’s Liquor Store on N. 15th Street. The East St. Louis Police Department responded to calls of shots fired at the location.
