Jarise Dontrel Baker, a 17-year-old African American male, was tragically shot multiple times in the upper body on June 29, 2019, in the Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. in the 1700 block of South Keeler Avenue. Despite being rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital, Jarise succumbed to his injuries the following day. A 17-year-old girl, who was also present at the scene, was shot in the arm but survived.
