Andrea Stoudemire, a 35-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed on July 26, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois. She was a dedicated member of the anti-violence group Mothers Against Senseless Killings (MASK), which aimed to curb gun violence in the Englewood neighborhood. On the night of her death, Andrea and her fellow MASK member, Chantell Grant, were patrolling the corner of 75th Street and Stewart Avenue, a location they had been working to reclaim from gang and drug activity.
