Jerry L. Jackson, a 36-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on September 1, 2019, in East St. Louis, Illinois. The incident occurred near Cahokia, where Jackson was found with multiple gunshot wounds. According to reports, Jackson was shot several times while in his vehicle. After being wounded, he apparently exited the vehicle and collapsed on the ground. He was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
