On March 13, 2021, Charlie Howard, a 29-year-old African American male, was tragically killed in East St. Louis, Illinois. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning at the Samuel L. Gompers Housing complex located at 450 North 6th Street. Police were called to the scene around 3:10 AM to investigate a double homicide. Upon arrival, they found Charlie Howard deceased from a gunshot wound to the head. Another victim, 27-year-old Martinel Labon, was also found critically injured and l ...
