Montez Jackson, a 23-year-old African American male from Cahokia, Illinois, was tragically shot and killed on September 8, 2019, in East St. Louis, Illinois. According to reports, Jackson was found with gunshot wounds at the intersection of 6th and Martin Luther King Drive around 3:15 p.m. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
