Lonnie Wilson, a 34-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on September 25, 2019, in South Chicago. The incident occurred around 10:50 p.m. when Wilson and two other men were standing on a sidewalk in the 8300 block of South Kingston Avenue. A gray sedan approached, and an unknown assailant opened fire, striking Wilson multiple times. He was rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead the following day.
