TeAndre Belcher, a 17-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on September 26, 2018, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred near the Sox-35th Red Line station during the afternoon rush hour. TeAndre and another teenager, Terry Wilson, 16, were involved in an altercation with a group of males near Youth Connection Charter School. Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson mentioned that detectives had promising leads and were reviewing surveillance footage to identify the suspects.
