Christopher Emerson, a 17-year-old male from East St. Louis, Illinois, was tragically shot and killed on the morning of October 18, 2019. The incident occurred at the John DeShields Homes, a housing complex in East St. Louis. According to the Illinois State Police , East St. Louis police responded to a shooting call at approximately 9:20 a.m. and found Christopher Emerson near one of the buildings with a gunshot wound.
