Kenshawn Sheriff, a 22-year-old African American male from Highland, Indiana, was fatally shot on the night of November 20, 2019, in Harvey, Illinois. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. in the 15800 block of Lexington Avenue. According to the Cook County medical examiner's office, Kenshawn was shot in the back and was subsequently transported to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead.
