Floyd Faint Sr., a 47-year-old African American man from Joliet, IL, was fatally shot on April 28, 2020, in his driveway at 701 Francis Street. The incident occurred around 4:26 p.m., and Faint Sr. succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. His death was part of a tragic pattern, as his son, Floyd Faint Jr., had been fatally shot just under a year earlier, in July 2019, along the I&M Canal Trail near the Brandon Road Bridge.
