Treshon Holland, a 24-year-old African American male from Naperville, Illinois, was tragically killed in a shooting incident on April 25, 2020, in Joliet, Illinois. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 12:45 a.m., on Parkwood Drive. Holland was one of four individuals shot during the incident. He was transported to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, where he was pronounced dead at 5:19 a.m. the same day.
The shooting also resulted in the death of 18-year-old Trevael Barefield and injuries to two other individuals.
The Joliet Police Department launched an investigation into the shooting, which was described as a violent altercation involving multiple gunshots. However, they were not charged with the murders of Holland and Barefield. Both suspects were held on substantial bail amounts, with Terry's bail set at $1.5 million and Pickens' at $750,000. Their defense attorney argued that they were innocent of the charges and that the evidence would eventually exonerate them.
The investigation into the homicides continued, with authorities seeking additional suspects. The police identified two other individuals, Michael Frazier and his brother Jeremiah Frazier, as persons of interest in the case. Despite the ongoing efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice, the case remained unresolved, leaving the families of the victims seeking answers and closure.
