On July 5, 2020, at approximately 12:45 p.m., 26-year-old Kenric D. Campbell was fatally shot in Chicago's Goose Island retail corridor. The incident occurred in the 1400 block of North Kingsbury Street. Campbell, who resided in the Garfield Park neighborhood, was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Initial reports indicated that a revolver, possibly belonging to Campbell, was recovered at the scene. A witness observed evid ...
