Jimiros Reed, a 23-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on July 5, 2020, in Rockford, Illinois. The incident occurred at the Orton Keyes Housing Development, specifically in the 500 block of Score Street. Around 12:30 a.m., Rockford police officers responded to reports of a shooting and found Reed lying in the parking lot, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, Reed succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
