Trifari Arthur Hughes, a 29-year-old African American male from Rockford, Illinois, tragically lost his life on July 29, 2019. Hughes was one of the victims in a double homicide that occurred in the 2000 block of Hutchins Avenue. The incident took place around 8:30 p.m. when Rockford Police responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Hughes with gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
