Gaillen Baker, a 13-year-old African American boy from Rockford, Illinois, tragically lost his life on September 18, 2015. Gaillen was an 8th grader at Eisenhower Middle School, known for his love of basketball and his playful nature with friends and family. On the day of his death, Gaillen was shot and killed while allegedly attempting to break into a home located in the 2300 block of 15th Avenue in Rockford.
