Aleshia Denia Smith, a 25-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on July 10, 2020, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Roseland neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. Aleshia was a passenger in a vehicle when a male suspect in a gray SUV opened fire on the car she was in.
