Walter Leflora, a 34-year-old man from West Englewood, Chicago, was found shot to death on September 12, 2020, in the 6200 block of South Seeley Avenue. He was discovered unresponsive on the ground shortly after midnight, with a gunshot wound to the back of his head. The Cook County medical examiner’s office ruled his death a homicide.
At the time of his death, a large crowd had gathered near the scene, with many people demanding that authorities remove his body from the street.
