Deshawn Fletcher, a 25-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on October 13, 2020, in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. in the 7000 block of South South Shore Drive. According to the Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Fletcher was struck in the abdomen when someone opened fire.
