Catrice Ware, a 21-year-old African American woman from Chicago, IL, tragically lost her life on November 18, 2020, in a shooting incident in the Lawndale neighborhood. The incident occurred around 4:22 p.m. when two individuals exited a gray vehicle and opened fire on a group of people in front of a store on West Roosevelt Road.
