Lavelle R. Lee, a 32-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 16, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Calumet Heights neighborhood, specifically in the 9200 block of South Blackstone Avenue. Lavelle Lee and his 31-year-old cousin were approached by Christopher Luckett, a 41-year-old man, who allegedly opened fire with a 9-mm handgun.
