In the summer of 2008, a wave of violence was washing over the city of Baltimore. On August 30th of that year, a 23-year-old male named Levon McCray became another victim of this tragic trend. His life was cut short in a fatal shooting that occurred in the 900 block of Valley Street. The area where he was found was known for a high incidence of violent crime, a grim reality for the residents of that neighborhood.
