In the afternoon hours of December 18, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the calm in the 2600 block of East Chase Street in Baltimore, Maryland. When the echo of the shots faded, 31-year-old Donte Bazemore, a Black male, was left lying with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. Paramedics arrived at the scene near Luzerne Avenue Park and rushed him to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced deceased by medical staff.
