On December 18, 2024, at approximately 3:12 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire in the 2600 block of East Chase Street, near Luzerne Avenue Park. Upon arrival, they discovered 31-year-old Donte Bazemore suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. Emergency medical services transported Bazemore to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased by medical staff.
