Alva E. Al Besst, a 68-year-old lifelong resident of Bridgeport, Chicago, was tragically killed by a stray bullet on February 16, 2021. Besst, who was active in his community and a member of the First Trinity Lutheran Church, was driving near Halsted and 31st Street when he was struck in the head by gunfire intended for someone else.
