Eddy N. Vaughns, a 33-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on November 2, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Roseland neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. Vaughns was involved in a physical altercation with an unknown individual at a business located in the 10900 block of South Vernon Avenue. The altercation escalated, and Vaughns was shot in the chest. He was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries
