Death by Force

Mason T. Sauseda, a 19-year-old male from Plainfield, Illinois, was found dead on April 9, 2021, at the Theodore Marsh preserve in Crest Hill. His body was discovered by two individuals walking on a path west of Gaylord Road and north of Theodore Street. The Will County Coroner's Office identified Mason Sauseda and confirmed that he had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. The final manner and cause of his death were pending further review of police and toxicological reports at the time.
