Benjamin Dawkins, a 27-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on May 1, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred just before midnight in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. Dawkins and another man, aged 30, were outside in the 5600 block of South Morgan Street when they heard gunshots and felt pain. Dawkins suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the hip, shoulder, and buttocks. He was rushed to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
