Devon Welsh, a 31-year-old man from Chicago, IL, was fatally shot on August 30, 2020, at Lumes Pancake House in the Morgan Park neighborhood. The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. while Welsh was dining outdoors under a tent at the popular restaurant. Witnesses reported hearing 20-30 shots fired into the tent, which was set up in the parking lot to accommodate additional seating.
