Martice Milliner, a 27-year-old African American man, was fatally shot by a Chicago police officer on July 9, 2015, in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. when police responded to a call about a person with a gun. The caller described the individual as a man wearing a black leather Blackhawks hat.
