Michael Ray Bailey Sr., a 62-year-old African American male, was a dedicated police officer with the Chicago Police Department. On July 18, 2010, Officer Bailey was tragically killed in an attempted armed robbery outside his home in the Park Manor neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois.
