Makel Polk, a 23-year-old resident of Chicago, was the victim of a shooting incident that occurred in the early hours of February 17, 2023. The shooting took place in the 700 block of South Lawndale Avenue in the East Garfield Park area of Chicago. According to reports from the Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Polk was shot in the upper back just before 3 a.m..
