Ramon Meeks, a 24-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on June 14, 2021, in the Roseland neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 1:25 p.m. in the 11000 block of South Wentworth Avenue. According to the Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Ramon Meeks suffered a fatal gunshot wound to his chest and was pronounced dead at Roseland Community Hospital shortly after the shooting.
