Anthony Antonio Jones, a 34-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 19, 2021, in Decatur, Illinois. The incident occurred early in the morning when Decatur Police were called to the intersection of Eldorado and Union streets around 6:30 AM. Upon arrival, officers found Jones with a significant injury to his neck. He was immediately transported to Decatur Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:57 AM.
