Nicholas N. Snell, a 20-year-old male from Champaign, Illinois, tragically lost his life on the night of July 30, 2021. The incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. when police responded to reports of gunfire near Willis Drive and Maple Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Nicholas inside a home, suffering from four gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, he was pronounced dead at 11:29 p.m. the same night.
