Demarcus Reed, a 27-year-old African American man, was tragically killed on July 31, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, specifically in the 700 block of North Ridgeway Avenue. According to reports, Reed was shot in the head and buttocks around 9:25 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the authorities.
