Torrance Dortch, a 39-year-old African American man from Chicago, IL, was tragically shot and killed on January 25, 2016. He was shot in the stomach around 4:40 p.m. in the London Town neighborhood on the Far South Side of Chicago, in the same block where he lived. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, but despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at 5:56 p.m. An autopsy revealed that he died from multiple gunshot wounds.
