Donzale Mejia, a 23-year-old Oakland resident, was shot and killed on November 19, 2014, in the parking lot of Mosswood Park Performing Arts Center in Oakland. Mejia was previously arrested in June 2014 for his involvement in a shooting in Berkeley, which left two people injured. He was released without charges being filed due to lack of cooperation from the victims.
