On September 4, 2021, Bryson L. Carter, a 32-year-old African American male, was found lying in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds in the 1900 block of Deerwood Drive in Danville, Illinois. The Danville Police Department responded to the scene following reports of a shooting. Carter was quickly transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
