In the early hours of September 10, 2021, the quiet of the Pilsen neighborhood on Chicago's Lower West Side was broken by the sound of gunfire.

Police responding around 2:50 a.m. to the 1400 block of West 17th Street found Guadalupe “Fish” Hinojosa, a 50-year-old Hispanic Male from Chicago, with gunshot wounds to the head and hand.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and identified by the Cook County medical examiner's office.
