Brandon Slater, a 26-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on May 7, 2022, in Chicago, IL. The incident occurred in the West Pullman neighborhood as Slater was leaving his mother's house around 2:45 p.m. He had just picked up a cake for a Mother's Day celebration when an unknown assailant exited a vehicle and opened fire, striking Slater multiple times.
