Daniel Archer, a 35-year-old man from Chicago, IL, was fatally shot on October 28, 2021. The incident occurred around 6:50 p.m. in the 10000 block of South Emerald Avenue in the Fernwood neighborhood on the Far South Side of Chicago. Archer was rushed to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
